Third Eye Realm

I believe as children we start off with them but through society we are convinced it is not real.  Then we lose touch with our abilities.  Am I right?

This is what I have often heard. We have been told that my niece has very special abilities and were told if she doesnt trust someone to stay clear of them. I am sure I have seen her talking to people that I cannot see. She was 2 last time I saw her so I am not sure if she is still doing this or not. I definately think we are taught to only believe what everyone else can see hear or feel sadly.

Usually all children are psychic till the age of six and then many things happen. Sometimes we have to let go of our gifts so that we can live this life, Imagian if you lived next to Disney World all the time and you knew how great and aw inspiring it was. You'd always want to be there right? Sometimes you have to let go to move forward. As a whole though, our society just isn't that open to the paranormal and actually actively crush it so we bank those gifts till all we have left is intuition.

oh by the way, I have a psychic child who is 4 and going strong. I read anything and everything on how you can help them grow and it helped that my mom never crushed my gifts so I got pointers from her too but if anybody else wants tips, just let me know!

My girls are all over 6 now.  My oldest use to have imaginary friends and often saw things we could not.  I never discouraged the behavior but did not know how to encourage it either.  My mother and I have always believed in the paranormal.  I have a 9 year I think is still in tune a little bit.  How do I encourage her?

Your best bet is to be open with her about all this and what you believe. Imaginary friends are ghosts/angels/spirits. Be open and ask questions, not leading questions but if they bring something up ask about it.

Last night in Chat I read that by paticipating with this site that we are welcoming the paranormal.  That it is likely we would encounter more.  Did I understand this right?  Just wondering because my oldest daughter felt uncomfortable last night and felt like there was something in her room with her and hearing footsteps. 

It's like the spirits know you are now open to communication but your daughter has always been that way it's just that it's been brushed off as something else... It's more like when you study it, you start realize what those cold spots actually were instead of automaticly saying it had to be the air conditionar.

So how do I explain without scaring them.  I tried to talk to my oldest today (13) about how she felt last night.  She was somewhat scared.  How can I help her feel comfortable and reassure her that it is nothing that will harm her?

Let her know that just because loved ones go to heaven doesn't mean they won't till keep in contact. That it's completely natural to be nervouse, wary, even scared but that she is safe. It's good that you are talking to her but keep in mind that you may have to keep reassuring her. Another good thing to do would be bless your house (take incense around the house and blow the smoke over entrances saying a prayer that only positive beings can enter the house) this will also help reassure her and you that it's just spirits from heaven coming to say hello.

My mom's best friend's son has skitzophrenia (sp) and hears people. When he was younger he used to see people who weren't there and a psychic my mom and her friend went to told her to go through the house and bless it and to light white candles (I think) in his room to protect it once or twice a month. I'm pretty sure it made the boy feel better about it and he wasn't so scared after that. Before they started to do something about it, he would refuse to go upstairs by himself and made someone go up with him even if he was only going to go up there to get something from his room.

we have several ppl on the site diagnosed with skitzophrenia. Most of them are just extreemly gifted but where unaware of how to control their gifts... Most chemically unbalanced ppl are actually gifted but it's hard to figure out which a person is.

The good thing is that he's not afraid anymore.

i have a lil sister and cousin who both can see spirts it freaks them out sometimes cuzz theyve seen some not friendly ones more than once and my cousin hates cymetaries 4 that reason my cuzz tho is also an empath witch is tuff on her in my opinon she hates crowds tho so i dont no

The best thing you can do explain to them why a ghost would be upset. Let them know they are special because not everyone can see ghosts and that upsets the ghosts. Have them pretend they are invisable and tell them to imagian they are really hungry but nobody can hear them say they are hungry so they don't answer. Then ask if that would make them upset? and then explain that's how the ghosts feel. You have to bring it down to their level. Let them know that they are safe but why they are feeling these upseting emotions from the ghosts.

I have my gifts through my Mother, when I was a child it was common place for her to talk about what she saw , heard or felt , I knew she was different from other Mothers so I never said anything to my friends , I just knew my Mother was different ..

I had an Imaginary playmate as a child, I now know she was a faerie , she was my constant companion, sounds daft , but its true, well it was my reality as a child..

Ive been clairaudient most of my life, as far back as I can remember , Ive heard lots , im really like a Moth to a flame with spirit , I hated it when I was younger, I now embrace it , no choice I guess..

I do close my chakras now, I also shield myself , so  im not as open as I was , unprotected was a nightmare ...

There has been so many incidents , I wont bore you all with the details ..
