Psychometry reading objects by touch. Psychometry generally refers to the ability to gain impressions and information about an object or anything connected to it by holding it in your hand. A person with this ability is called a Psychometrist or a Scryer.

The term was coined in 1842 by Joseph R. Buchanan, an American physiologist, who claimed it could be used to measure the 'soul' of all things. Buchanan further said that the past is entombed in the present.

Buchanan experimented with some students from Cincinnati medical school and found that when certain students where given an unmarked bottle of medicine they had the same reaction as if they had taken the medicine. Buchanan developed the theory that all things give off an emanation.

These emanations contained a sort of record of the history of the object. Buchanan believed that objects recorded senses and emotions and these could be played back in the mind of the psychometric scryer.

Some theosophists attempt to explain Psychometry in terms of the Akashic records. Psychometrist usually scry in a normal state of mind.

In other words there is no preparation needed or any need for trance, etc. Scryers are sometimes unable to hold certain objects because of that objects past. For example if the object had been used in a violent crime.

In some cases if a scryer has been handed an object of someone who recently died of illness the scryer may suffer from symptoms of the illness. Psychometric impressions may come in the form of emotions, sounds, scents, tastes or images.

The visions are usually very rapid in nature. The visual images occur with no logical sequences.

Psychometrist usually experience a loss of energy and an increase in body temperature when scrying. Some scryers report an irregular heartbeat.

It is generally thought that psychometry is a natural power of the human mind, but some people believe that it is controlled by spiritual beings. Some scryers feel that they act as an instrument and that the spirits do the actual scrying.

If you possess a talent for psychometry you probably already know it. It usually starts at an early age and seems to be a natural gift not something that is learned.

As we exist in an electromagnetic programmed reality - metal objects work best - such as keys, jewelry, etc.

As all objects carry a frequency signature. When doing psychometry you attempt to connect your frequencies with the object in question. This involves Clarivoyance - Clairaudience.

PRACTICING PSYCHOMETRY

Some people hold objects in their hands while doing psychometry while others may hold them up to their foreheads - or lay down and place them on their foreheads.

Prepare an object to work with that belongs to someone else. It does not have to be metal. Also set up a tape recorded to tape what you see and hear.

Sit down in a quiet place so you can concentrate and focus your thoughts.

Hold the object in the hand that feels most comfortable to you.

I do everything with my right hand but use my left hand for all psychic work as that links to right brain functioning (intuitive) - and feels natural to me. Energy always enters through the left side of the body and exits through the right side.

Now relax and close your eyes.

Now take the object you have selected and hold it in your hand.

Focus on the screen in your mind which is just behind your forehead.

After a minute or so - you should see images. thoughts may come to you. They are linked to the object.

The shapes may be still or animated.

Tape what you see even if the images make no sense at the moment.

If you are working in a group, each person should have a chance to hold an object and tell the rest of the group what impressions they get about the object - which of course references the owner of the object.

Take your time with this. There is no hurry.

You may try more than one object - perhaps objects of different materials.

But only use ONE object at a time.

Next you can attempt to psychometize something while in nature - a plant or flower - a crystal - a rock - a tree - or placing your hand on the ground.

Place your hand on the object or hold it in your hand.

Close your eyes

" Visualize yourself becoming one with the object and it has a message for you.

Connect your frequency with the object you have selected - such as a stone.

Become one with it . . . so that you are looking through its eyes.

Allow the object to give you visual and / or mental messages.

It is great to ask a tree about other trees on the planet. Call to the trees and ask about the ecology changes on the planet at this time.

You can record on tape or even video if your prefer.

Telekinesis - Place your object on the ground. If you have become 'one' with it - you might be able to make it move.

ANIMAL KINGDOM

Today we are going to connect with a pet or other animal to see what messages they send us!

I am aware that many people are not around animals.

In that case - save these notes until you have the opportunity to be with an animal you feel comfortable enough to communicate with!

First decided on the animal you wish to communicate with.

Please be sure the animal is fed and in a peaceful mood.

Relax and call the animal to you.

If it does not come - it will not communicate.

Several attempts at psychometry with that animal may be necessary until you both feel comfortable with each other.

Once the animal will come to you - place one or both hands on the animal.

Send the animal a message to relax and that you wish to communicate.

Once you feel that the situation is comfortable - close your eyes.

Look for images.

Animals sent thought forms.

HUMAN FREQUENCY

Find someone you would like to do psychometry with - even if they are just sitting with you and you are getting messages for them.

Find a quiet place to work.

Arrange two seats that allow you and the person to sit face to face.

Explain that you are going to be holding their hands.

Close your eyes. Connect with their frequency. Send the person a telepathic message.

You can tell the person what you are seeing - as most people are curious about the events in their lives.

Continue until images stop.

The person may want to ask a question.

If you feel comfortable - try to answer it - but assure them that the information you receive may not be 100% valid. If you know them, you may be too subjective.

This is great and from my experiences not many people have this ability. 

I've done psychometry before when I had taken psychic development classes at the local wiccan supply store. I had actually done very well with this... There's a good game we can all play to try and encourage it. It wouldn't be quite the same since we can't physically hold the objects over the internet... but might be worth a shot.

to be honest i cant remember ever trying this, i know and have heard of it.
